Part A: Setting up a Reg.CA Email Account in Outlook 2016 (or later)

1. Start Outlook (classic): you can find it under the Start menu

2. Click on the File menu, then click the Add Account button:

3. Enter your email (you might have to wait a second while it "searches for accounts:), then click Connect:

4. Enter your password, then click Connect:

5. Click Done, and wait a moment while it checks the password:

6. If it asks you to approve a certificate (View Certficate should show "Secure Services"), please click Yes:

7. Outlook should send itself a test email, and you're done!


Part B: Checking Reg.CA Email Account in Outlook 2016 (or later)

1. Open Control Panel: you can find it under the Start menu

2. Search for Mail, then click Mail (Microsoft Outlook):

3. Click "Email Accounts":

4. Select yout email account, then click "Change...":

5. Your "Email Address" and "User Name" should both be your full email address. The incoming and outgoing server should be "mail." at your domain:

6. Now let's double-check your outgoing server settings. Click "More Settings" and then "Outgoing Server".
"My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" should be enabled.

6. Now let's double-check your port settings. Click "Advanced".
Incoming server IMAP should be either 143 or 993.
Use the following type of encrypted connection should be Auto.
Outgoing server IMAP should be either 465 or 587.
Use the following type of encrypted connection should be Auto.
