Transfer of Registrar

Transfer a domain from another registrar to Reg.CA.
Here is a summary of how the transfer process works:
In order to transfer a domain, you will be charged the price for a one year renewal. In exchange, your domain will also have one year added to the END of the current term. (So if the end of your current term was July/2006, upon transfer it would be July/2007. In this way none of your "remaining" registered time will be lost). You are not charged any additional service or transfer charges.
The renewal fee will be reserved on your credit card as a deposit, but you will not be charged UNLESS the registrar transfer is succesful.
The administrative email address of the domain MUST be functional. For COM/NET/ORG domains the administrative email address will receive an email which must be confirmed by replying with "APPROVE" in the message body. For CA domains, you will receive emails from CIRA with a username, password, and web site to go to in order to confirm the transfer. If the email address is not functional, and you would still like to transfer the domain, email for assistance.
For COM/NET/ORG domains, you will be required to enter your admin and contact information (but not DNS information) on a following page. Note that the same contact information will be applied to every domain transfered in the same operation! For CA domains the information will be retrieved from the existing registration. You may transfer both CA domains and COM/NET/ORG domains in the same transfer operation.
If you'd like to transfer multiple domain name, simply separate them by spaces, commas, individual lines, or any variation thereof. (Don't forget the COM/NET/ORG/CA/US extension!)
For all except .CA domains:
IMPORTANT
: If your domain expired with your old Registrar, and you renewed it with them, then do not Transfer it within 45 days of the previous expiry date since it will not add 1 more year to your domain name, and you will lose out on the Renewal fees paid to the older Registrar. You cannot transfer a Domain Name if it has been registered in the last 60 days.

Automatic .CA Transfers will not be available until October 15th, 2010 due to a .CA registry upgrade.
